Pro BMX Athlete Nigel Sylvester Announces The Nigel Sylvester Foundation

New York City, NY (July 8, 2021) – Professional BMX athlete Nigel Sylvester announced today the establishment of the Nigel Sylvester Foundation, on ABC’s Good Morning America. During the announcement, Sylvester also surprised 10 children from Public School 16 Wakefield with brand new bicycles and helmets.

The Nigel Sylvester Foundation is dedicated to transforming the lives of underserved youth, uniting diverse communities and other charitable causes. The foundation will support initiatives including building after-school programs, bike donations and fundraising community bike rides.

“I’m ecstatic to establish this foundation to share with kids the freedom and confidence that comes with a bicycle,” said Sylvester. “My parents raised me with a deep sense of compassion for people in need, especially youth, and to give back to the communities that raised me. I’m excited to bring this foundation and its mission to life.”
